Looduspõhised lahendused linnaruumis/Nature-Based Solutions in Urban Areas

Keskkonnaministeerium ja Keskkonnainvesteeringute Keskus (KIK) korraldavad 3. juunil kell 10-17 virtuaalse inglise keelse seminari „Looduspõhised lahendused linnaruumis“. Link seminarile postitatakse peatselt.

Nende kasutamine pakub mitmesuguseid hüvesid, alustades elurikkuse kaitsest kuni kliimamuutustega kohanemiseni.

• looduspõhiste lahenduste tähtsus;
• praktilised looduspõhiste lahenduste näited;
• elurikkuse tähtsus linnaruumis;
• märgalade rajamine, haldamine ja monitooring;
• Putukaväila projekt;
• UrbanStorm projekt.

Kõnelejate nimekirja leiate ingliskeelsest kutsest.

Seminaril on moderaator ning publikul on võimalik esitada arutlemiseks omapoolseid küsimusi.

Palume oma osalemine registreerida https://bit.ly/2RxR6P9.

Kõik on oodatud osalema!

The Ministry of the Environment of Estonia and the Environmental Investment Centre are inviting you to the virtual seminar called ‘Nature-Based Solutions in Urban Areas’ on Thursday, 3 June 2021 at 10:00 – 17:00. The working language of the seminar is English. The link for the event will be posted in due course.

During the last few years, nature-based solutions (NBS) have gained a lot of attention in the International community, as well as in Estonia. The use of NBS in urban areas is often significantly more cost-effective than building large-scale technical systems on their own, and the benefits of using them range from protection of biodiversity to climate change adaptation.

The main goal of this seminar is to raise awareness on how the use of NBS in urban areas can bring great benefits to both people and the environment and show where the implementation of NBS has already worked.

Topics covered and discussed:
• the importance of nature-based solutions;
• practical examples of nature-based solutions;
• importance of biodiversity in urban areas;
• creation, management and monitoring of wetlands;
• project “Putukaväil”;
• project “LIFE UrbanStorm”.
